Dr. William Netzley is a man on the move. With a growing family that has expanded from his five children to include their five spouses and three grandchildren, and a thriving Dental practice it's enough to keep anyone busy. But, add to that his myriad of hobbies from growing bonsai trees and rare flowers, to making and playing Native American flutes, to playing the twelve-string guitar, to learning to play classical piano, to woodworking, to tinkering on his '72 Land Cruiser, to hard core off-roading (which helps him get back into the beautiful wilderness he loves), to hiking and camping (he's an Eagle Scout), you begin to wonder when this man sleeps! After all of that it's an absolute wonder that he is able to capture his award winning photographs.

While most other nature photographers make a full time job of it, spending weeks and even months sitting in one spot to capture one or two images, Dr. Netzley often only has one day to get to a location and capture a moment of raw nature. He's able to do this because of the keen eye that he's developed since childhood. Having been mostly deaf since birth, he has developed his powers of observation beyond that of the average person. All of this makes his images special, they give you the feeling that if you were to head up into the mountains for the weekend you might be able to see the same scene for yourself. This approachable and raw feeling that his images convey is unsurpassed in his field.

Dr. William Netzley captures moments in nature, and when you look at these images you cannot only see the beauties of nature, you can also feel the mood of the wilderness in these unique works of art.
